What I want to know is....how did she get Lily to sit still long enough to cut only hair??

BTW, Meg did this at her mom's house.

All My Daughters

Ashley and Stephanie look alike again. They always have, but sometimes the shape of their glasses changes their look just a tad.
In their laps are Lily, Rhiley and Megan.
Where's the man?
There's the man!
Rhiley above and Meg and Lily below.
We made them eat Popsicles in a bucket. They have the same expressions.

College Girl: "Yes!!"
Mom: "what?"
College Girl: "I got 4.0 in 2 of my classes and a 3.8 in my writing class."
Mom: "............[jaw dropped]..........."

My life set on Blurrrrrrrrr

Susan commented ...."A hummingbird speedway sounds like your whole house on the weekends!!!"
So very true Susan, so very true!

just like the wings of hummers.

I have even done a teeny tiny bit of sewing...but no pix of that of course.

My mom has started to show her dislike of Ben, my oldest, and his girls. We don't know why. It is hurtful, painful, stressful, and is making me angry these days. Ben knows and tries his hardest to be nice to his grandmother, who has been a big part of his life, but he is hurt too.

Life.

Move Right In

Ben moved back home. Home being where I live. He brought his trampoline. He brought his clothes. He brought his 2 girls. The girls are only here on weekends though, but Ben is here full time.
Below is the before shot, above is the after shot, of the room Ben is building behind the garage. Or rather re-building. He is replacing the one he tore down and is making it livable.
How walls are built these days.

On Tuesday, College Girl Steph comes home. Going to get a bit crowded around here until we can move Ben and the girls into the room 'downstairs', as I already call it.

On a bird note, our front yard has become a hummingbird speedway area.

Mom, Quick, Figure Out What....

bird this is in the tree outside my dorm room window.
I did my best, and Stephanie is sure this is it, the Western Tanager. I did find a site that seemed to be pretty good for hunting down birds. It's called WhatBird, and you can hunt by color, or body shape, or....or....

More stuff

The RV block is done in my Mosaic Block work=age. I also added pine cones and chipmunks because I like them too.
This is the next block plotted out. I think this is #8 of 9 blocks.
I guess I missed the bird....
Rhiley, grand girl #3, has the double swirl of hair growth-age like Lily has. [proper terms for things seem to be evading me today]
BUT...R. is going to have curly hair!!!!
This house sits atop the Game Farm...hell of a view!
Holler out to Susan....thank you for liking my current blog format!

They Let Me Out!

But first....Stephanie was here this last weekend so Ben talked her into helping him put in the floor of the re=placement room at the back of the shop/garage. She loved helping!
Next we have the only SUN we have seen lately....
the dog left a print next to mine....
ahhh...the good stuff. An outing with my girls, the grand girls at least. Our first, even though it wasn't an overnighter. We, Ben, Megan, Lily and I, headed north to the Olympic Game Farm in Sequim, WA.
[Over the new Hood Canal Bridge and then east on 101.]
You take wheat bread with you to feed some of the animals...like the bison above. You slap a slice on it's tongue and it away it goes. This guy/girl scared Lily when it stuck it's big head in the car. This shot below is the 'before I called it over' view.
Most of the bison are waiting in the middle of the road so they can reach either side of the cars, and they mosey along with you as you drive...unless they stop you completely.
They are not shy about looking for handouts.
These are some of the other animals. I thought the seagulls hanging out on the prairie dog hill was an oxymoron, but seagulls aren't shy about hand outs either.
Show off!
In the first of this collage, you can see the bears lined up along the road, a car length apart. Next we have Megan and her 'little friend'. Actually this bear just sat there....so Ben Frisbee-tossed a slice of bread and made a hole-in-one, right into the bears mouth!
click the pix to enlarge
They even have a rhino! He is hornless now and seems pretty docile.

There are seagulls, rabbits and peacocks everywhere! The animals are all shedding and I wish I could have scooped up a bit of discarded hair here and there for the scrapbook.

First road trip in years...priceless!!!!!
