We have a lot of construction going on here in the North Gig Haarbor area, including a Hospital!!!! {And they have a webcam}
Because of this, the road it is located on is closed at the moment for sewer installing, or whatever. Alot of people used that road to get to their homes. But that construction is only supposed to last only a couple of months, so it wouldn't have been a big deal if the next highway exit hadn't been closed at the same time for a 2 year reconstruction project.
[Click the pix for larger shots.] So now 10 bajillion cars now use one exit, one road, to get to their homes. Needless to say it's a bitch to get to OUR house too! We have tons more traffic in our area too.But, the good news is, we will have a hospital in the area!!!!!!!! and there will be a real exit at the exit in the second picture. It was just a street exit when Highway 16 was put through. Unfortunately there have been many fatal accidents since....
Our area is growing faster than the roads can handle the traffic. You would never know there were high gas prices by the traffic in this area.
Gee, I guess if they get the hospital finished before the highway, at least the road rage / construction worker / highway under construction accidents will have somewhere close to go for treatment.

Hope they get that hospital finished soon - looks like they will need it. Here in Bellingham we have one hospital that is way too small for the whole county - but it is the only one - they keep adding on, but still there are waits for beds, 4-5 hour waits in the ER - that sort of thing. A new hospital will be nice for you.
