pine

The other day I mentioned the Sierras and the smell of the pine trees there....I wasn't able to add pix then, so here they are. See the nice long needles on this part of a branch? Well here in the NW, we have short needled trees and they don't smell the same AT ALL.i also mentioned it might be the smell of the rocks...so here is a rocky picture for your viewing pleasure.

And I figured it was time to show Where In The World Is the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range??? Here in California. I lived in the northern area, kinda east of that light blue spot that represents Lake Tahoe.
Interesting how the Sierra's just stop....but they don't really, they must just become a different mountain range name....but thats for another day. TTFN!

    Must have been nice living in such a beautiful place. We drove up to Lake Tahoe from Sacramento one Easter. When we left home we were using the AC in the car.Later turned on the heat. There was still mounds of melting snow up there. Kids had a snowball fight
