I don't think "it shows" at all! I think it's quite nice... interesting texture play!
thank you jen...I confess it was hard to do someone elses still life. So different than what I would have picked, which is the whole purpose of course....
Good idea! It looks as though the leaves and base area are pieces of cut fabric and the background has lots of threadwork.
